A special moment of achievement took place last night at the AGM when Mark Coogan was awarded Life Membership with Western Districts Baseball Club Inc. Mark is the Club's 35th Life Member.
Mark is a long serving member of the club, tireless in his efforts to support others and is always there when you need him. A coach, an umpire, volunteer, grounds keeper and all round handyman... Mark is ready and willing to contribute every year.
Congratulations on your achievement Mark. The whole club thanks you for your service.
Mark was nominated for Life Membership following a glowing recommendation from Katie and Richard Pinker, along with their son, Toby. Richard and Katie are pictured alongside Mark and club President, Rodney Gaunt.
Mark also achieves another special milestone, being the third member of his immediate family to be awarded Life Membership.
Mark's Father, Danny Coogan was the president of the Club between 1961 and 1970 and his Mother, Glad was always by his side and now Mark makes the trifecta. Mark's uncle, Frank McDonald is also recognised as a Life Member of the club.
Mark's son Andrew is following in his father's steps, playing in Senior League, coaching a Little League side and always helping where he can.
